As the pandemic drags down Sweden’s economy many are losing their jobs, and this is especially hard for those who depend on their work for their permission to live in Sweden.
Rafiq Islam, chair of the Work Permit Holders Association, says many of their members can’t work in the crowded conditions of restaurants and bars and that means after three months they will need to go back to their countries of origin.
Korttidspermitteringen utökas nu till max 80 procent. Välkommet tillägg men inte optimalt eftersom enskilda firmor än en gång lämnas utanför, anser Företagarna.
Korttidspermitteringarna utökas och det ska bli möjligt för en arbetsgivare att skicka hem personalen på 80 procent. Det meddelade regeringen och samarbetspartierna vid en presskonferens på tisdagseftermiddagen.
